Engineering Lead (Senior)

Client: Maryland State Government
Location: 849 International Dr., Suite 320, Linthicum, MD 21090
Employment Type: Contract – Hybrid – 2 days onsite (Tues, Thurs)
NTE Hourly Rate: $75.00
Labor Category: Engineering Manager
Residency Requirement: Must reside in the DMV area (DC, Maryland, Virginia)
Telework: Permitted occasionally, depending on assignment and team needs
Transportation: Resources must provide their own transportation
Security Compliance: Must follow State of Maryland security policies
Equipment: Contractor will provide laptops

Position Description

• Lead and coordinate engineering projects from conception to implementation.
• Manage, mentor, and develop a team of engineers.
• Review and approve product design and changes.
• Collaborate with departments to align engineering with business objectives.
• Enhance performance through process improvements and training.
• Provide technical and strategic leadership in solving complex problems.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in engineering, technology, or related field (Master’s preferred).

General Experience

At least 4 years of progressive engineering experience, managing mid- to large-scale projects.

Specialized Experience

At least 4 years in a managerial role within an engineering environment with proven team leadership and project management.
